The object of art is to evoke emotion

I don't think I agree with Scott McCloud that art is anything that doesn't contribute to the survival of the species. I see art as anything that evokes an emotion. I don't even consider it a requirement that the image, sound, or whatever be human-created. Naturalistic phenomena can be art. Accidental arrangements of objects in a classroom can be art, even if they are not captured by a human eye.

Everything is art. Art is a moment.
